200HR Yoga Alliance Teaching Certification Fall 2023 Dates Contact Meg for update info Hosted by Kat Buechel & Meg Artley Location: Refresh Yoga Center
Learn in our beautiful Old Town yoga studio, at 110 King Street, Alexandria, VA. Our yoga teacher trainers are experienced, holding either the 500 hour Yoga-Alliance registration or have over 2,000 hours of teaching experience or both. Added bonus: A cohort of like-minded yogis who are also investigating a call to deepen their practice and maybe even to teach.
Refresh’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program The first thing to know about the Refresh program: It is small in the number of students, which will allow you to create real friendships. This in turn will allow you a safe space to give and receive productive feedback as you learn to teach, and talk through some of the deeper aspects of this ancient practice. Our teaching faculty are dedicated and have received the highest ratings on our Yoga Alliance Teacher Training site. Please check it out to see what other students have said about our long-standing program!
As a Yoga Alliance certified program, we promise that you will learn about about the breadth and depth of yoga as a science and as a lifestyle and that you will be ready to teach on your own, on Zoom or in a studio or gym environment. You will the learn anatomy and bio-mechanics necessary to the understanding of the postural and pranayama practices; learn the appropriate asanas, their modifications and contraindications; the proper Vinyasa sequencing for all-levels classes and for special populations you will encounter as a teacher; and the important philosophical and historical underpinnings of modern postural yoga. Most importantly, you will learn about yourself — what do you hope to bring to the world through your teaching of yoga?
Questions? If you would like to speak with one of our lead trainers, drop Meg Artley an email: meg@refreshyogacenter.com. She is happy to connect with you by phone, Zoom call or email and send you the syllabus for this fall. You can also check out the syllabus on our schedule, under the workshops tab. Price: $3,000. If you need to pay by weekend, the fee is due by the beginning of that weekend’s training: $550. Register here.
